A little privacy talk.

Timmy Trees is an independent, 21+ Michigan cannabis review blog. No cannabis is sold here.

The cookies that keep things working.

The site remembers your 21+ confirmation for your browser session. It also saves your analytics choice for up to six months, so you don’t have to keep answering the same question. Owner sign-in uses separate security cookies.

Optional site analytics.

If you choose “Allow tracking,” Microsoft Clarity helps me see which pages people visit, where they click and scroll, and where the site gets clunky. Clarity can collect page URLs, device and browser details, behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and masked session replays using cookies and other tracking technologies.

The Clarity script loads only after you confirm you’re 21+ and allow analytics. It stays off on owner sessions and pages with query strings, including search results. Text is masked, search inputs are marked for masking, advertising storage is denied, and browser opt-out signals keep analytics off.

I group visits by the public review, brand, product type, store and topics on the page. Tracking also counts things like time spent in a review, reaching its end, opening a photo, following tags, submitting a search and using a product link. Search words and visitor names aren’t added to those tags or events.

Microsoft processes the information it receives under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clarity is used here to improve the site.

You can change your mind.

Use “Tracking choices” in the footer to allow or decline analytics. Declining after allowing it reloads the page to stop Clarity and removes its first-party analytics cookies. You can also clear this site’s cookies in your browser. The reviews work either way.
